Back to makaiDrove up the windward coast to North Shore. Visited Waimea Valley Garden, Shark's Cove, and Turtle Beach. Stopped in Hale'iwa for shaved ice.
Next day, we snorkeled at Haunama Bay---incredible! It was like the Disney World of aquariums. Visited Valley of Temples. Later snorkeled at Lanikai Beach until run-in with jelly fish parts. Click on picture for more.
You visited some of my favorite spots! Looks like you had a perfect vacation! I grew up in Kailua and swam often at Lanikai and Hanauma Bay. I used to work at the Kahuku Community/School Library and drive along that windward coast every day to work. I'm starting to miss it all over again! Thanks for sharing your experience and your photos.
